Danny S. Benjamin, MD, FACOG

Danny Benjamin, MD, FACOG is currently in his 5th year as being Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. He began working together with Dr. Bayram in 1991, nurturing a growing practice (over the past 27 years!) that would become Metro Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1993, Dr. Benjamin became the first physician at Huron Valley-Sinai to perform endometrial ablation for excessive uterine bleeding (less invasive alternative to hysterectomy). He earned recognition for “Teaching Physician of the Year” in 1985 at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and “Physician of the Year” in 2005 at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital for “exemplary service to the hospital and community.” If you ask him, the best part of the last 27 years would be:

  1. Being a caddie at the 2004 U.S. Open (I still have the blisters on my feet to prove it!)
  2. Delivering 2 of Gordie Howe’s grandchildren
  3. Being part of the Metro OB-GYN family since 1991, which includes all of the docs, office staff, and their “MISPACHA” (Yiddish for family)
  4. Enjoying the ride with my wife, Marilyn (35 years in total), and 2 sons (for the first 18 years, they thought of me only as a hockey coach!)
